GloRilla is a hip-hop recording music artist from Memphis who rose to success after the release of her single, “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” produced by Hit Kidd in April of this year. GloRilla released “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi B in September which was produced by Macaroni Toni who also produced her earlier mixtapes.

Just this week, GloRilla released a new music video titled, “No More Love.” GloRilla gives a relatable start to her new song “No More Love” with the first line referencing her purpose. I think this is so important because many people wonder what is their purpose.

“Sometimes I just sit back and wonder what’s my purpose?”

On this particular record, “No More Love” I really paid attention to GloRilla’s wordplay, especially when she said

“Nah Ain’t nobody gas me up I pulled up with my own weed,

I believed in me back then when nobody supported me.”

The fact that GloRilla is on the porch while her friend is doing somebody’s hair is a realistic scene because a lot of women have friends that know how to do hair and it is a popular side hustle. It’s exciting to see her success thus far, she’s even won an award at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards for Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist.

She has received the support from fans and I’m sure her music being relatable  plays a big role in her success. For example, with F.N.F. that song is relatable to single women or women who have been in relationships with men that did not work out. However, even if you were in a relationship, FNF was such a catchy song you would easily find yourself, singing the lyrics, even if it doesn’t apply to you. Sometimes it’s just about the honesty, the energy, the melody as well as image that can make a huge impact on the listener or viewer.
