Dave East and Rick Ross – Fresh Prince of Belaire

“Fresh Prince of Belaire” is the title of Dave East’s and Rick Ross’s latest music video and it is amazingly New York. The “Fresh Prince of Belaire” music video was shot in the busy lifestyle of your typical New Yorker.

This video pays homage to the famous 90’s television show featuring Will Smith titled the “Fresh Prince of Belaire.” The video features everyone in the video wearing brilliantly highlighted colors and patterns such as hot pink, lime green and plaid/cheetah garments.

In fact, during most of the video you’ll also see Dave East in a bright yellow taxi cab symbolizing Will Smith’s arrival to Belaire for the first time.

I can really appreciate the fun editing used in the video. For example, a girl jumps in the pool and before she can make a splash the shot reverses, bringing her out of the pool, symbolizing Jazzy Jeff always getting kicked out of the house from the famous TV show. In the television show, The Fresh Prince of Belaire Will Smith’s best friend was Jazzy Jeff.

Dave East references the 90’s while the dancers are strategically dressed in 90’s apparel. The song has a good beat but right after Rick Ross’s verse the beat switches up and becomes even better with more bass.

I hope there will be a remix with the beat used in the end, utilized for the full duration of the remixed version of the song.

Rick Ross sits on the throne as he spits his bars in his swagged out old school jacket.

There are a lot of Belaire bottles featured in the video and some of the bottles actually have Dave East’s face on it. Besides the bottles there are beach balls, and a radio among the large stacked high boxes of Belaire bottles.

Watch the music video above and be sure to let me know what you think.

Rick Ross new single, “I Think She Like Me” features Ty Dolla Sign and is a goodie but a fast one. The beat will sound familiar to you because he sampled Marc Dorsey’s “People Make the World Go Round.” On this joint he talks about his come up and various wins in life. Chris Brown “New Flame” Video

Just 3 days ago, August 14th to be exact Chris Brown premiered his latest music video entitled “New Flame.” Featured on this record is none other than the Pop & R&B Superstar Usher and the Hip Hop “Boss” himself Rick Ross. The video displays several earth elements such as water, fire and the sky presenting a calm and peaceful experience for viewers but wait…. it gets better. Breezy and Usher of course do what they do best during the video and deliver their smooth dance moves, now you tell me what’s not to like? After you get sweet talked from the two r&b singers and fascinated by their choreography, Rick Ross delivers the bars like a boss giving listeners especially females the best of both worlds. Not convinced yet? Look above to watch the new “New Flame” video to hear the talented voices, enjoy the imagery and vibe to the lyricism of Ricky Rozay, Breezy & Usher!

Rick Ross Mastermind Album Review

“They say it’s hard to smile with a double life in the middle of the night wit a bloody knife Lord give him a chance every man should be free He wanted him a degree but got him a key!!” Yesss this is off of Rick Ross’s Mastermind and this lyric is from a track called Drug Dealer’s dream. I opened this piece with that lyric because it possesses imagery and realism, which could be a summary of Ross’s album. This album features some of the top music artists in the game right now – The Weeknd, French Montana, Lil Wayne, Diddy, Movado, Kanye West, and more.

If you are a Rick Ross fan than you know his content is usually based on money, cars, girls, past trials and nothing has changed in this album. He discusses his lifestyle, shout out his homies who passed into another life and the ones locked up and the cocaine he dealt. “Blood on the counter Damn I miss my dawg I’m just thinking bout his daughter in another life he balling!”

Rick Ross beats are straight fire and versatile. Some of his songs give you a laid back feeling you could imagine yourself riding around your city on a sunny day. Other beats have gun shot sounds in them and prepare you to get hype. If you have any beef with anyone, he’ll stir some emotions. Some tracks have religion references and gospel choruses in them such as Sanctified.

Rick Ross may talk about common things that other rappers speak of but his wordplay keeps a listeners attention. Since, his lyrics are facts about his real life experiences listeners can relate to what he’s saying. For example, “blast for me the last word from my nigga on the pavement born killers body shivers” or “opposition want me dead or alive” are relatable lyrics. Some people have lost their best friends due to street crime and everyone has at least one hater.

One thing I do like about this album is the lyrics that discuss where he used to be in life and where he is now. “N***a seen a 36 at 16 100 k for the 16” or “Getting white money but I’m still black” these lyrics in particular reference change but he still knows where he came from. Rick Ross has ambition and goals that he’s accomplishing and his vivid lyrics lets people know anything can be done regardless of where you come from. Rick Ross is a mastermind – CEO of MMG!
