Plyli$t is a music artist from Yonkers, New York and he’s starting the year off with a freestyle of Meek Mill’s, “Traumatized” single off of the popular album, “Championships.”

His “Trauma Freestyle” is packed with bars that have real meaning. You’ll definitely feel the punchlines on this freestyle.

Tidal X Concert at the Barclays Center

This week some of the biggest performers hit the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to support a unified cause of criminal justice reform. Senator Cory Bookers, Van Jones and Angie Martinez were also in attendance aside from the music superstars.

Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Kodak Black, The Lox, Lil Kim, Jay Critch, Queen Naija and DaniLeigh were a few of the artists to perform. Each artist performed at different lengths but all the performances were stellar. This concert lasted for hours and was non stop talent one after another.

The lights, audio, flames were all phenomenal. Some sets included intense choreography and Meek Mill even shared his spotlight with dancers in the audience allowing them to get on stage and Milly Rock. Even Shiggy was on the stage showing off his dance moves.

The night was tons of fun. Enjoy the Tidal X footage above and be sure to share it and sign up for the newsletter!

No one is better than Drake this year

The 2018 BET Hip Hop awards are coming and guess who has 11 nominations?

Yep, thats right its Drake who is in the lead with nominations but what else could we expect? “In My Feelings” is still everyone’s favorite single, “God’s Plan” is a song most of the world agrees with and “Nice For What” is every girl’s anthem.

Drake has genius lyric tendencies with dozens of catchy and relatable phrases embedded through every song.

Drake is nominated for “Album of the year” and “Lyricist of the year” to name a couple. Whether he wrote the lyrics or not, his music is incredible. All credit to everyone involved.

What’s your favorite Drake song of all time?

Meek Mill – “Legends of the Summer – EP”

“Legends of the Summer – EP” could not have come at a better time. Meek Mill was recently released from prison this year.  His “Legends of the Summer – EP” features four singles.

Meek Mill teamed up with Bronx legend, Swizz Beatz for his single, “Millidelphia.” The energy on this track is high and the lyrics are beyond real. He expresses how he feels about his recent imprisonment.

“F*ck 12 and the cops, They wanna see me in the cage, I’d rather see me in a Wraith.”

“Millidelphia” is a track representing Meek Mill and his ability to hold his crown like he never left.

“When we do a hit, it’s a murder.”

“All of these pretty hoes I done hit, You better pray that I got a b**ch, I show no mercy on n**gas hoes, all I gotta do is just like a pic.”

My favorite song on this EP is called “Dangerous” featuring PNB Rock and Jeremih. Meek Mill is an untouchable artist because he makes hit records regardless of the genre whether it is rap or r&b, he will always climb the charts.

He’s honest and real yet emotional on his singles.

“I done put so many diamond chains on you, they get tangled up, I never felt like this, this is strange as f**k (that’s what it’s like loving you.)”

Jeremih and PNB Rock together is perfection.

1am” is that club song that girls can twerk to and guys will love to hear.

“Stay Woke” is the serious and conscious record on “Legends of the Summer – EP.”  Meek Mill’s new single, “Stay Woke” stands out because Meek Mill is an actual person that has experienced the wrong side of the law first hand. He wasn’t a witness but a victim of wrongful sentencing.

Sy Ari Da Kid x Quentin Miller – “Correct”

This year has been filled with drama between Quentin Miller, Meek Mill and Drake and now Quentin Miller released a new single called, “Correct” featuring Sy Ari Da Kid. We know Quentin Miller as a writer for Drake but he finally puts out music with his voice. Let me know if you think Quentin should remain a writer or continue to put his own music out.

Will Ye, Jay, or Meek Respond to Drake’s new single, “Summer Sixteen?”

Drake, a famous Young Money Toronto artist released a new record triggering reactions this weekend called, “Summer Sixteen!” Drake’s music naturally reaches millions but with “Summer Sixteen” the differentiating factor is his name dropping bars!

Drake makes comparisons to some of the biggest names in Hip Hop today and continues his rivalry with Meek Mill on this new single. “Views From the 6” will drop in April this year!

Some of the notable lyrics in “Summer Sixteen” are as follows:

“Tell Obama that my verses are just like the whips that he in—they bulletproof.”

“I’m just a sicko, a real sicko when you get to know me nigga, I let the diss record drop, you was stayin’ right below me nigga.”

“Why would I put on a vest when I expect for you to aim for the head?”

“I used to wanna be on Roc-a-Fella, then I turned into Jay.

“Now, I got a house in LA. Now, I got a bigger pool than ‘Ye / And look man, ‘Ye’s  pool is nice, mine is just is bigger is what I’m sayin’.

I expect Kanye to respond because he’s the rant King but I guess only time will tell. What do you think about Drake’s lyrics?

Meek Mill Drops “DC4” EP

Meek Mill is not dead, but in fact ready to kill like he never left. This surprise EP has four singles with one freestyle called “Im Da Plug.” The first single, “Pray For Em” reminds me of a milder version of his “Dreams & Nightmare Intro” because his high energy on the track. He really turns it up a notch on Future’s “Im Da Plug” track by responding to Drake’s diss “Back to Back.” He spits, “Was that my girl tour or the world tour?, I do not know what you p*ssy n*ggas going for, This that 100k a night when you perform tour, Swimming in that good p*ssy while you on tour.”

Check out the other two singles out above as well and don’t forget to comment!

Chico Suave – “Monster Freestyle” Music Video

Yonkers own Chico Suave released his new music video for his “Monster” Freestyle last week. “Monster” is a Meek Mill record that was released in January of 2015. However, now is a great time to drop a Meek Mill freestyle because of the surrounding controversy between him and Drake. Chico definitely drops memorable lyrics in this new song, “If we can’t pop a check we probably rob the connect.”

In Chico Suave’s “Monster Freestyle” he often references his hometown, Yonkers. He’s clearly repping his city while trying to reach success, “They say I’m next and I’m the best out of Yonkers.” Several music artists came out of Yonkers including DMX, Jadakiss and The Lox. In the music video you will catch Chico chilling outside or in the studio with people representing the 914.
