Drake Sits Down For An Interview With Rap Radar

Wow! The time has finally come for an over 2 hour long interview with Rap Radar and the rap legend, Drake!

During the Drake interview, one very important thing that stood out is Drakes confidence. Drake knew how great he would become way before it became reality.

“Things that I repetitively think about or say I’m able to manifest.”

Drake always knew where he wanted to live and he lives exactly where he planned.

During the interview, Drake mentioned how much respect he has for the young artists breaking the boundaries of what music is. YNW Melly was mentioned in the interview  about how he’s able to create music with pain and the craziest melody.

You’ll always be chasing when people are like who are you?

Be in the Who is this moment .. trying to keep people interested you’ll be chasing that moment throughout your career. I love when Drake said this because this seems like one fact most people wouldn’t know unless they were famous.

“Your who is this moment is a big moment please be present in that moment and you’ll be trying to get that back forever.”

Drake talks about Thank Me Later and mentions it had the least amount of personal touches and really was all about how many features can you get. A lot of pressure at that time. It’s so nice to have Drake open up about everything.

Drake started out as an actor and many people didn’t believe he could become a Hip Hop artist. He even talks about the stigma of coming from Canada and no other artists making it.

The interview addresses family, dreams, music of course and more! I love how open Drake was in the interview and his ability to be humble and real.

This interview is great for all upcoming artists interested in becoming a successful music artist because there’s a lot of gems in the interview. Fans will have the answers they’ve been waiting for and all I can say is its worth every minute of the 2 hours.

Below is one of my favorite Drake records, What is yours?

No one is better than Drake this year

The 2018 BET Hip Hop awards are coming and guess who has 11 nominations?

Yep, thats right its Drake who is in the lead with nominations but what else could we expect? “In My Feelings” is still everyone’s favorite single, “God’s Plan” is a song most of the world agrees with and “Nice For What” is every girl’s anthem.

Drake has genius lyric tendencies with dozens of catchy and relatable phrases embedded through every song.

Drake is nominated for “Album of the year” and “Lyricist of the year” to name a couple. Whether he wrote the lyrics or not, his music is incredible. All credit to everyone involved.

What’s your favorite Drake song of all time?

Drake – “In My Feelings” Music Video

Yes, the moment we have all been waiting for, Drake released the official music video for his single, “In My Feelings” featuring Shiggy!

The video begins with a funny clip of Drake behaving in his feelings while he stands outside asking Lala Anthony, Keke in this case, to come outside. Through the window Keke is curving him while Drake is confessing his love. But wait it gets better, Keke’s mom who is the mom from the Cosby Show, Phylicia Rashad sets Drake straight and kicks him off their front lawn. Drake makes jokes for days in just the first two minutes of the song.

The video was shot in New Orleans and has a throwback feel. As expected and gladly, Shiggy from the Shiggy Show is featured in this music video dancing and ultimately being himself. In this video, you will see beads, bright colors, hype dancing, grills and most importantly, legit music clips from fans that have posted the Shiggy/InMyFeelings challenge clips through IG.

That’s right! A few people were chosen to be featured at the end of the music video showcasing their best dance moves to, Drake’s “In My Feelings.”

It’s such a good feeling to see someone from New York take off. Shout out to Shiggy!

There’s also a funny skit featuring Shiggy towards the end of the video.

Check out the video above and let me know what you think!

No Frauds – Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne

The music video to Nicki Minaj’s diss record to Remy Ma “No Frands” has officially dropped! Nicki Minaj looks sooo beautiful truly inspiring HOWEVER Why is her hair down to her calves??? I was overwhelmed like why is all of that hair necessary but besides that I loved all of Nicki’s outfits. She definitely made a statement!

I thought it was dope but let me know what you thought about it. Also do you think Remy Ma will create a response video?

French Montana – “No Shopping” ft. Drake

Apparently there’s a beef going on between Drake and Joe Budden. Although, Joe Budden has bars it’s clear Drake is the worst person to start a rap war with but either way let the games begin. I don’t speak much on gossip but this single “No Shopping” is great for the club, great for the diss related punchlines, and as usual, French Montana bodied this record.

Drake begins his verse with Pump it up which is the record Joe Budden is most known for. Drake takes several shots rapping, “I’m not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff, you let me turn into the nigga that you almost was.”

Tell me what ya’ll think!

Drake Leaks Singles from upcoming project – “Views From The 6”

Drake has everyone on halt waiting for him to drop “Views From The 6!” It’s said to be dropping the end of April but in the mean time he decided to treat his fans with some singles. He released, “One Dance,” “Controlla,” “These Days” and “Pop Style.” Some of the artists on these leaked singles include Popcaan, Kanye West and Jay-z. Great music, I’m loving “Controlla” but let me know which song is your favorite?

Sy Ari Da Kid x Quentin Miller – “Correct”

This year has been filled with drama between Quentin Miller, Meek Mill and Drake and now Quentin Miller released a new single called, “Correct” featuring Sy Ari Da Kid. We know Quentin Miller as a writer for Drake but he finally puts out music with his voice. Let me know if you think Quentin should remain a writer or continue to put his own music out.

Rihanna “Work” Music Video

The video to the mega catchy and famous record is finally out and yes, I’m talking about Rihanna’s Work single featuring Drake.  At the start of the video we see Rihanna in a super seductive outfit dancing exclusive reggae moves on the dance floor among other women.  Around the chorus we see Drake partaking in some of the fun in the “The Real Jerk.” While we see jerk chicken and other dishes being prepared in the video, the best part is when Rihanna gives Drake that work.

But wait … There’s more!

There’s like a sequel to the same music video this time we remove the dim lighting at the party and add neon light and heightened  chemistry between bad girl Riri and drizzy. She teases him and it looks like they would be a dope couple for 2016.

Tell me what you think below?

Rihanna – “Work” featuring Drake

Press Play

Rihanna’s new single, “Work” brings back the old sound of Rihanna when her music was all about the reggae vibes. The song reminds of the famous pop singers teen years when she released, “Pon De Replay.”

“Work” is destined for the club triggering positive vibes with an uplifting beat. Every time Rihanna and Drake collaborate, the song is a major hit and nothing will change with this new track.

Check out Rihanna’s new single and her ANTI album which dropped on January 28th!
