Melanin Power Post : Yandy Smith-Harris

This week’s Melanin Power Post is dedicated to Yandy Smith-Harris. She is a film producer, business owner and overall media mogul.

Yandy created YELLE skincare, skin care products for melanin rich women. The ingredients were carefully selected and include Aloe Vera, hyaluronic acid, peptides and more. YELLE skincare is for the entire family, both females and males to use including serums, eye creams and toners just to name a few.

Yandy Smith-Harris is a wife, mother and influencer. She has a Youtube channel called the Harris Family. In her videos you can watch Yandy and her family vlog while cooking, touring homes, waterfighting and more. Her Youtube channel has over 40,000 subscribers.

She founded Everything Girls Love (EGL) along with Latoya Bond. The EGL  brand represents:

“Women partnering and positioning themselves for advancement through Collaboration and Community.”

I love the Everything Girls Love brand because the movement is women empowerment and the images on the @eglwinnetwork instagram page are designed with motivating quotes,  relationship advice, uplifting black empowerment images and words. They even have a website with articles that address balancing life challenges, male perspectives on topics and highlights of black women in different industries.

Yandy supports politics and activism. She heavily supports T’wina for election who would be the only black senator in Washington State and the fifth senator of color.

Yandy posted a vote tour video presented by @untilfreedom and @WokeVote. Yandy Smith and Porsha Williams were part of a peaceful “Day of Action” Breonna Taylor march organized by Until Freedom and were arrested. On Page Six she explains the cops gave no warning before arresting protesters and they didn’t give anyone a chance to walk away.

Our first Melanin Power Post goes to Yandy Smith-Harris for being a media mogul who believes in empowerment, making a difference and making sure everyone’s voice can be heard.
