Fivio Foreign – Big Drip


Maxie Lee Ryles III who is known as Fivio Foreign was born in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up he had a passion for music and started rapping in 2011 under the name Lite Fivio which he later changed in 2013 to the name we all know him as, Fivio Foreign. At first, he released music through Spotify but all that changed when his single Big Drip released  in August 2019 earning over 3 million views on YouTube. Unfortunately, in 2016 Maxie lost his mother to a stroke which he described in an interview as a hard experience for him. He revealed in his interview with DJ Vlad she was hospitalized for two weeks due to the stroke and during that time, he visited her every day. After the death of his mother, he had to grow up instantly as far as taking care of himself, rent, food, and necessities. He was great friends with late rapper Pop Smoke who he considered family because they shared the same ideas, friends, and enemies making his death hard for him.

Fivio made a rise alongside Fetty Luciano, Mr Swipey, and AXL Beats production. His hit song “Big Drip”  released on his pain and love EP brought him many audiences with 43 million views currently in which he was able to perform alongside late rapper Juice WRLD at the New York 2019 Rolling Loud. Columbia Records made a deal with Fivio with the number within a seven-figure range. Fivio explained that his plans for future projects include a mixtape and a couple of songs then possibly an album. Fivio gained recognition being a part of the XXL freestyle for 2020. He got co-signed by Meek Mill the Dream Chasers CEO and they appeared on stage together at the powerhouse 2019 in which Fivio performed his hit song. Fivio has teamed up with many big names in the music industry including Rich the Kid on “Richer Than Ever” with 15 million views currently. A couple of months after that release he teamed up with Tory Lanez on “K LO K’.

In May 2020 Drake released the song “Demons” featuring Fivio which charted at 34 on billboards. Later that month, he collaborated with Lil Tjay and Pop Smoke on “Zoo York” which charted 65 on the hot 100. During an interview in November with Power 105.1, Fivio shed light on his goal of making an imprint that helps his fellow MCs from Brooklyn. This is fascinating because it shows his desire to help others get to a comfortable position. In May 2020 Fivio Foreign launched the Foreignside foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides benefits and resources to former or current gang-affiliated people,  homeless people, incarcerated individuals, as well as supplemental and educational assistance. He started the organization to honor his late mother who loved to give back to the community.

The Smollett family is known as one of the most successful families in the entertainment industry. The mother,  Janet Smollett (African American) was born on November 27, 1952 and from a young age became known as a civil rights movement member. After getting married to Joel Smollett she gave birth to six children (Jojo Smollett, Jocqui Smollett, Jurnee Smollett, Jazz Smollett, Jake Smollett, and Jussie Smollett) and they raised them to be very successful. The father, Joel Smollett (Jewish, half Russian and Polish) was born in October 1956. Their father was never in the film industry but invested in his children in hopes of building their career for success in the entertainment industry.

JoJo Smollett

Jojo Smollett was born on August 28, 1997. Although, growing up his father left the family he eventually came back. Jojo grew up pursuing a career as an actor and rose to fame alongside his siblings on the TV series On Our Own. He was also seen on Smollett Eats, a food series as a cast member.  He made his debut in acting in an episode of Roseanne then later starred in the City of Hope. He made a couple of appearances on shows including The Practice and Moesha. He was known as a quiet man that stayed away from the media until the hate crime controversy came about with his brother.


Jocqui Smollett


Jocqui Smollett was born on February 8, 1993, in Santa Rosa, California. He lived and grew up with his siblings. He is known as an American actor famous for participating in shows such as Smollett Eats and On Our Own. He is also known for being in Amanda’s Return and Pitch This.  He started his career as an actor in 1994 when he was starred in On Our Own. He was not only seen again in Smollett Eats but he was also one of the producers of the show. He has an estimated net worth of $600,000 earned mostly from both his acting and DJ career.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell


Jurnee Smollett-Bell was born on October 1, 1986. Her career as an actress began when she was a child. She appeared in shows such as Full house, Eve’s Bayou, which she won a Critics Choice Award for, and On Our Own along with her siblings. She also starred in famous films such as The Great Debaters, Jack, and Temptation along with many tv series including True Blood on HBO, Friday Night Lights on the NBC channel, and Underground on WGN America tv network. She has won a total of three NAACP Image Awards. She is also known for being a part of HIV/AIDS awareness.


Jazz Smollett


Jazz Smollett was born on April 1, 1980. Just like her siblings, she began her acting career through the series On Our Own. She played a role in all 20 episodes. She took a break from acting when the series was over but eventually came back playing a role in I Want You and she also was part of production for In Silent Space and Always With You. She produced Hydia Broadbent Speaks and 12 Years A Slave which received an Oscar in 2014. Jazz Smollett co-authored the cookbook, The Family Table. She considers herself a lucky person being born into a family of actors. Even though she has not yet received any awards she is still motivated and ambitious. She also participates in charity work.


Jake Smollett


Jake Smollett was born on August 28, 1977 and began his career as a model for a diaper brand. He was later seen in a Series called Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper which was his first official scripted series. After he appeared on On Our Own which was an ABC sitcom with his brothers and sisters. He was seen on the ABC channel in The Middleman. He was even introduced as a guest judge for a Chopped Juniors, a hit show on the Food Network channel. He was also known for cooking family meals along with his siblings on Smollett Eats on the Food Network.


Jussie Smollett


Jussie Smollett is an American actor born on June 21, 1982. He began acting as a child appearing in the film The Mighty Duck and Rob Reiner’s, North.  He gained a lead role in The Skinny which is an LGBT comedy-drama. He gained a big role in 2014 as Jamal Lyon on the Fox Series, Empire. He plays the character of a gay musician trying to gain the approval of his father on the show. He confirmed that he had come to an agreement and signed with a recording contract with Columbia Records and intends on dropping an album. Jussie came out as gay on Ellen DeGeneres’s interview stating an openness to love is more important than gender.





The Life of Pop Smoke


Early Life

Bashar Barakah Jackson also is known as Pop Smoke was born on July 20, 1999, and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn. He was raised by a Jamaican mother and a Panamanian father who were always in the picture, but he had a couple of problems with the law. Pop smoke first run-in with the law was eighth grade when he brought a gun to school causing him to be expelled and put on two years house arrest for possession of a firearm. Growing up he was given the nickname “poppa” by his grandmother and “smoke oh guap” by friends which later got merged into his rapping name Pop Smoke. He grew up listening to artists such as 50 Cent, Dmx, Jadakiss, and Lloyd Banks. His main aspiration in life was to become a businessman with the hopes of opening his businesses. He received a scholarship at Rocktop Academy for basketball, but he cut that short to pursue other options.

Career of Pop Smoke

Pop Smoke was known as a good friend of New York artist Jay Gwuapo and while hanging out with him during his studio session he decided to freestyle on a drill beat initially starting his music career. He dropped his single MPR and Flexin which drew attention to him creating a buzz in New York because of his rapping style and his voice. He later made a collab with 808Melo, a British drill producer to create his “Meet the Woo” mixtape which leads to his hit song “Welcome to the Party” from his Meet the Woo mixtape attracting more than 8 million views on YouTube and different platforms in 2 months. The song was the spark of his career leading to remixes with Nicki Minaj and YG. The mixtape included popular songs such as Dior, Scenario, Hawk Em, and PTSD. He collaborated with other artists such as Lil Tjay on the track “War” and “Gatti” with Travis Scott and the JackBoys on the JackBoys album in 2019. Pop Smoke was signed to Victor Victor/Republic records In February 2020, he released his Meet the Woo 2 mixtape which featured A Boogie with da Hoodie, Lil Tjay, Quavo, Fivio foreign along with Nav, Gunna and PnB Rock on his deluxe edition released five days after. Pop Smoke’s net worth was $700,000 with his music reaching more than six million on different platforms along with more than a million followers on Instagram. His YouTube had more than 300 thousand subscribers along with his SoundCloud at more than 60 thousand followers. Unfortunately, we received alarming news that Pop Smoke has been shot and killed during a home invasion at his Hollywood Hills home on February 19, 2020. Police arrived at the scene and found Pop Smoke with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical center where he was pronounced dead with the cause of death being a gunshot wound to his torso. After his death, a public mural was made to honor his legacy with over a thousand people attending his funeral. Famous rapper 50 Cent called out Pop Smoke’s team to help produce his album after his death with the promise to taking Pop Smoke’s mother to an award show. “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” was released on July 3, 2020, with an estimate of 225 million streams and earning its place as number 7 on the Billboard 200. Rest in Peace Pop Smoke and his legacy lives on.


Who is Ron Suno? Learn About His Career And His New EP “Swag Like Mike”

During these last few years, many creative people have displayed their talent through various outlets to attract different fan bases. Ron Suno who’s best known for his popular comedy skits on Instagram became a viral sensation and the first comedian drill rapper coming out of New York.


Keron Foriest also known as Ron Suno was born on August 3, 2000, in Bronx, New York. He was raised in Coop-city. He stands at 5ft 10in with various sources of income including music sales, advertisements, and streaming. His Instagram account has over 900,000 followers with his YouTube channel at 130k subscribers. Aside from the music scene, he is known for his dance and comedy content which help promote his brand.

Before the Fame

Before the fame, Ron Suno admitted to freestyling at the age of 16 in high school but after being criticized by friends and teachers he lost his confidence to pursue his passion and instead turned to comedy. After creating a fan base with his comedy, he felt it was time to be more diverse with his talent motivating him to return to his passion for music.


Ron Suno is signed to SBL Music Group with his music currently streaming over a million views. His first hit song Pinocchio emerged on the New York drill scene witnessing over 8 million streams. The music industry had no choice but to take notice.  His choice to step in the music world has arisen a movement on the East Coast, his spotlight is so diverse that it caught the attention of multiple artists in the music industry. He created a remix to Pinocchio with west coast rapper Blueface who once criticized comedians on their attempt to infiltrate the music world.

He received the spotlight as the first comedian drill rapper with his music videos to reach over 800k in the first week. Ron Suno’s EP, “Swag Like Mike” was released on the Juneteenth holiday and embodies the swag of several Mike’s including Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jackson.

Ron Suno promotes black excellence and the power of the black vote. He works closely with the Boys and Girls Club in Brooklyn and visited over 15 high schools.  During the pandemic, he also donated funds to his friend’s mother’s funeral due to COVID-19.
